Meg’s paper showing improved survival with hemostatic nanoparticles gets noticed

Meg’s paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences showing that administration of the hemostatic nanoparticles can improve survival after blast trauma has been covered by a number of news organizations. We’re very excited by the interest.

One of the things that hasn’t been covered is that this was a strong, team effort and 6 of the 7 authors are women. In a time where there are lots of calls for more women in science coupled with questions about why women do not succeed in science, I think it is important to show the role women can play. This team has done some incredible work and is continuing to work to develop new potential therapies.
